Construction Project

Criminal Law

Except where the project is for a domestic client, the HSE must be notified when the ‘construction work’ lasts more than 30 working days or involves 500 person days, for example 50 people working for over 10 days.

Construction work includes demolitions, building works, maintenance, refurbishments, external decorations etc.

With all notifiable construction work the client must employ a competent CDM co-ordinator before work commences.

All registered CDM co-ordinators have produced enough evidence to show that the ‘Approved Code of Practice Standards’ for managing health and safety in construction can be met.

FIND A REGISTERED CDM CO-ORDINATOR FOR YOUR CONSTRUCTION PROJECT

Note:
Sections 1,2 & 4 of the CDM Regulations 2007 apply to all construction work irrespective of time and value. Only Section 3 applies to notifiable projects.
